18/05/06 - Mark Thornton (www.legbooter.com): Finally got round to check your new site. Hey it's all brilliant man, the new tune [Grey Matter] is buzzing.. very very cool and moody. I checked out a few others on there as well, blew me away. Some bad, bad sounds there. Don't you ever write a poor one? God I'm so jealous!

05/05/06 - Evil G (www.electromancer.com): Lookin' good, pretty sensible layout. I'm gonna have to setup a website I think. Unfortunately evilgenius is gonna be a harder domain name to get hold of!

04/05/06 - mistrust (www.electromancer.com): Nice site - miles better than mine (I CAN do decent webpages, but I just ain't got the time).

04/05/06 - skept (www.artificialbliss.com): Lookin' good fudge!

04/05/06 - Blue Hand (www.artificialbliss.com): Its simple, but nice. Cool pix Your son bro?

04/05/06 - hairossa (www.artificialbliss.com): hey!! nice site, nice pics also...

03/05/06 - Ed (www.the-auditorium.net): congrats, I had a peek around, everything seems cool, nice big beach there for holidays, I'm headin out very soon for lots of r&r

03/05/06 - one (www.the-auditorium.net): Cool! On the other site [Electromancer] it was always a problem to click and listen to MP3s. This works a treat!!

Comments on "This is NOT Meant to be Pretentious"

17/05/06 - asbestoscape (www.the-auditorium.net): It's a pretty cool, but I can't see why it isn't just one long track. Apart from when the second one takes off, I liked the last one, Captain Black is in the House the most.

07/05/06 - buzzbeach (www.the-auditorium.net): Enjoyed listening to these. A bit tough to listen to in one sitting but even on first run through there are quite a few special moments. Pt1 was my favourite. With a few more listens I Wouldget to like this a lot i'm sure

07/05/06 - Laguna Rising (www.the-auditorium.net): Yeah I like this music, experimental but very enjoyable. I like when the rhythm takes off in part 2, CBIITH is my favourite for the exotic mood. Well done

07/05/06 - elv (www.the-auditorium.net): Yes very experimental. Captain Black is in the House rocks big time, like the dealys on the drums alot.

06/05/06 - blipp (www.the-auditorium.net): Intersting stuff indeed. Brought to mind some of the kraut rock stuff you might here from the early 70's. Nothing wrong in being pretentious in my opinion, some of my fave music could be said to be pretentious. I found these three tracks [TISNMTBP(parts 1 – 3)] really interesting and found something to like in all of them. Part three is the one i liked best cause i thought the percusion was cool.

03/05/06 - one (www.the-auditorium.net): Like this alot. It is experimental fer sure...

Comments on "Grey Matter"

2705/06 - chriscoffey79 (www.futuremusic.com): oh, love those shuffly drums, sound great. nice atmospherics. definitely has the amon tobin insects-in-the-jungle vibe, nowt wrong with that. reversed beats work well too, lots of changes to keep me on my toes. If it was me i'd put have a really fast, slightly more straightforward ending, has the makings of a great dnb track in there. maybe that's one for a remix....

25/05/06 - M.T.Pilot (www.futuremusic.com): Listening now... *dude, an intro of one minute?! *like the drums that follow on it..no! don't stop them? You finally had the track going! *the climax? where is it? *feck, I better go and eat something, instead of adding more low sugar level induced, non-construcitve negative comments to this posting.. Anyway, I wanted you to know that I listened to your track.

24/05/06 - SexBurglar (www.futuremusic.com): very atmospheric alright... reminds me a bit of Amon Tobin builds the tension nicely. I like your beat sequencing, that start stop feel btw What do you use for drums? Nice ending. I´d like to say more about production, but I can´t with the set up I have here I like it alot

22/05/06 - magmavander (www.the-auditorium.net): yeah, cool frightening intro, scared me I founded the drums a bit "thin" especially the kick. The song has really a soundtrack feel, dark and cold. Took you immediately to an imaginary movie!.

22/05/06 - asbestoscape (www.the-auditorium.net): Am listening now...........very atmospheric. It brings to mind Metroid Prime- it has that sinister "exploring an alien planet" kind of vibe. Am really lovin' the bit at 2.35 when that bassy synth part joins the beat. Really cool beats by the way. I've heard quite a few of your tracks now and this one is definitely my favourite so far.

22/05/06 - PaintTheDreamscape (www.futuremusic.com): Hey man, Took a listen to the track! It's got a really nice atmosphere going on, love the intro and the way it builds up. The fog-horn bassline in the latter sections is nice, too, but it does sound a bit overpowering, but it's not...I don't know what makes me feel that way, but it's as if it's overpowering something that isn't there... The reversed drums in the middle...I'd move them back a 1/4 of a bar, cos they sound like they're out of time (unless that was the idea!!) But yeah, I'm loving the whole atmosphere of it. I'd love to hear some double-time drums in there, just hi-passed or something, to give it a bit more tension.

22/05/06 - blipp (www.the-auditorium.net): Excellent work Fudge, liked this a lot. The way the drums faded in at the start was cool and they sounded great. This is very atmospheric, bringing to mind some of the darker tracks of Massive Attack. Top track.

19/05/06 - Dark Horse (www.infexious.com): Dark, broody, mean and moody.... what other ingredients do you need? This is top drawer stuff and it sets the cerebral mechanisms in motion.... more fuel for the machine please.....

18/05/06 - instantO (www.infexious.com): yeah cool beats an totally laid back, the bass does sound out but it works. This is the type of music i like to listen too. chooooooonage

18/05/06 - kazakore (www.infexious.com): Like the beats you've got going there. The bass kinda sounds out of time, but I think that is intentional. Could definately do with some work on the EQ in parts and maybe comression on drums and bass.

07/06/06 - jonny quest (www.the-auditorium.net): Walking in reverse slow-motion through a David Lynch scene in which a path lined with burning palm trees leads through a dark black void and then approaches a blue velvet curtain which opens to reveal six naked vixens waltzing in a circle around a transitor radio with a VU meter twitching slowly.

04/06/06 - asbestoscape (www.the-auditorium.net): It's pretty cool. I think it really sounds like it could be on the same album as the last one you posted "Grey Matter"- it's good that you're consistent with your style whilst being different. I think the voices are the most unnerving part about this one as I'm listening through headphones and when it first came on I couldn't tell whether they were coming from the next room or through the headphones.

04/06/06 - Ed (www.the-auditorium.net): very cool Fudge, I like how you placed the vox, I could use that type of thing on my track, kinda different from you I think, liked the build up to slowing the bpm down that far produces something different eh, good stuff

03/06/06 - amorphix (www.the-auditorium.net): I had a listen to your track Positive ! 20 BPM !!!!! Christ....I though I was pushing it back at 90bpm. It works, though, and comes across as a very atmospheric, sinister piece of ambient. You've used some good sounds in there and they all sit nicely in the mix.

02/06/06 - blipp (www.the-auditorium.net): This is great. Sounds a bit like a cross between early Laibach and Kraftwerk so it's definitely gonna get my vote for that factor alone. Wonderfully dark and menacing, but atmospheric and thoughtful. This has to be my fave track from you so far, i absolutely love it. Excellent.

02/06/06 - Laguna Rising (www.the-auditorium.net): I like the experimental section because you can meet very original tracks here, and this one has many interesting elements I enjoyed. Weird drums sounds, nice dramatic atmosphere, noisey stuff... Unusual tune. Fine.

02/06/06 - Van Greco (www.the-auditorium.net): Very eery beginning. Interesting rhythm textures. I've been getting into non traditional drum sounds like this lately. This sounds like it could be in a horror movie at points. It's very well layered. I'm keep noticing more and more little tigns that you have going on in there. Very cool. There's a lot of subtlety to the arrangement. I'm a big fan of subtle elements in a song. This is cool man. I'm gonna let this play for a while. It'll be good background for net surfing I think. Thanks for the tune Fudge.

02/06/06 - one (www.the-auditorium.net): I'm likin it. I like to work with slow BPM quite often. Never gone as slow as 20 though. Def kinda disturbin but I'm enjoying the textures..

Comments on "Escape to Canada"

31/07/06 - de la Mancha (www.futuremusic.com): glitch-trip-chop-hop spooky stuff as usual Mr Nofunk, very trippy, dark and makes me think of Thievery Corporation on a cocktail of Acid and Temazepam. Is it over yet? Can I come out from under the desk?

30/07/06 - Fred S (www.the-auditorium.net): I don't think I'll ever be the same again after listening to this...could be a good thing...dunno This is definitely different...the chorus vocals, the vinyl scratch/skip at the end, the rhythm/percussion, and some of the sound sequences are very cool. I like the edgy feel. But overall, quite honestly, I'm not quite sure....but who cares....sometimes I don't even care what I think

28/07/06 - Gavin (www.electromancer.com): Intersting. I like the beats and blippy synth sounds. Its a shame the vocal melody isnt better. But apart from that i really like the stuff youve been doing recently.

27/07/06 - Ed (www.the-auditorium.net): the tune is strange and wirey, the classic dub beats which I always find interesting, like that little run down, could've stayed on that lower note for a verse to give it a more dynamic change, its cool though, made me a bit dizzy, which is good

27/07/06 - asbestoscape (www.the-auditorium.net): Sounds pretty warped and twisted- like a real bad trip. Nice nauseatingly off vocals Mike (meant to be read as a compliment). The beats are cool n' all. Not a very positive- sounding song for a fresh start in a new country though. More like a song to commemorate relocating to Hell.

27/07/06 - kukla (www.the-auditorium.net): Very cool... I feel the high gravity keeps the tune down, somewhere very deep. I like the overall roughness and the vocal. Really cool.

27/07/06 - skept (www.artificialbliss.com): I loved it mate!

Comments on "Dark Funk/Dark Funk2"

17/10/06 - bahgheera (www.the-auditoriums.net): Neato... trippy. I don't usually go for strange stuff but this is a rare exception.

13/10/06 - magmavander (www.the-auditoriums.net): Hi Fudge, this is really interesting, I liked the nervous and angry feel Good work, all the "cuts" are just at the right place. Impressive. Thanks!!

13/10/06 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): i like that fretless bass sample? it is sinister...the beat is a little flabby for my taste, but i like the subtle grooves going on. very slow track, with a herky jerky movement to it. I like the soundscape.

13/10/06 - Mike Newstead (www.layersofsound.com): Some nice beats going on here. Bit of a funky groove going on. Reminds me a tiny bit, albeit a very dark version, of early 4-Hero.

02/10/06 - ecamburn (www.the-auditoriums.net): I honestly can't tell what you changed from the original but I can say that I like this piece. The agressive 3/4 thing is great. The beats are very unique. Actually reminded me a bit of Medeski, martin and Wood. Overall this piece is very unique - which is a good thing in my book.

29/09/06 - Amos (www.the-auditoriums.net): Listened to this one at work today; neat stuff! I really like how the beat shuffles and drags and yet always lollops along at the right pace... there are background rhythms that sound like a pair of trainers in the dryer, but the on-beats are accentuated enough to keep the whole structure under control. It made me smile to follow it. that was my main observation; it wasn't the best listening environment for me to really zero in on the details (which no doubt you worked hard on)...

22/09/06 - asbestoscape (www.the-auditoriums.net): I really like it. The bass is especially cool. It is my opinion though that a repeating vocal sample would not be a good addition.

20/09/06 - Blue Hand (www.artificialbliss.com): Hey FDNF Downloaded and checking it... Intro start really well. Nice mellow sound with cool bass. Its modern, at all. Also, enjoy beat. Its well maded and sounds like synkoped sometimes. All the fx'es fit the song nice. Maybe add more deep sounds in the background. Work on the outro, there is no drama a bit, but I know Youre working on. Rapque vox will be great here. Its not unique, but I may say its quite original stuff. Like it much!

20/09/06 - Alienz (www.the-auditoriums.net): Hi Fudge, Really nice atmosphere and groove you got in this track, I like things that are dark but funky I agree it could use one or two extra instruments though starting at around 1m25. I like the idea of a baritone sax but I also think some high violin/string-like notes could be nice and/or maybe some incidental pianochords or arpeggios with reverb/delay (in the break?). Excellent work!

20/09/06 - ecamburn (www.the-auditoriums.net): hey fudge, I like the suggestion of a barritone sax. This is a really unique piece. Is that 6/8 time? This is definitely example of what you've left out is just as important as what you've put in. In the same vein as the sax suggestion, I'm hearing a solo line that screams and wails. Something distorted perhaps?

20/09/06 - geedubbee (www.the-auditoriums.net): I'd say, definitely keep to the low end of the spectrum... Two words: Baritone Saxophone. (think Morphine) If you're going for a piano, try sticking to single note patterns, or two note intervals, all in the bottom two or three octaves of the piano...Yeah, that'd keep it dark and murky...Or if you prefer a slightly minimalist approach, keep what you've got, it sounds fine.

19/09/06 - one (www.the-auditoriums.net): Hi Fudgie I like the bass. Like the track Re more stuff on the track... Holds up well now.. Blipp made some nice sugestions. Your stuff tends to not be super melodic thogh so I'd say just let the track be it's got all it needs at the moment IMO.. Good one!!

19/09/06 - blipp (www.the-auditoriums.net): What you've got so far sounds excellent. Very original ideas here. Love the groove and the bass is magnificent. If it was my track i'd probably add some melodic stuff on top, some stabby piano sounds and some little synth lines here and there. it does'nt sound as though it needs a lot adding though to call it finished. Good stuff.

Comments on "Death of a Croydon Librarian"

15/10/06 - otosan (www.artificialbliss.com): Dark! and a very good listen. You know in the 1940's they did experiements on people by playing a kick drum in the same pattern as a human heartbeat to see if they could speed it up or slow it down. This is what it reminds me of. Its gritty, industrial and nasty (in a good way of course). Really like the comb filtering on the vocals and those reversed metallic sounds. Excellent work matey!

14/10/06 - Humanite (fsor.postunder.net): your kick is very tribal and native american in my mind .....the souround sound ban saw sound effect is totally rad hahahah....reminds me a bit of tool going off into one of their noisecapades.....not to into that warbly synth seems outta place to me ....very seperate from every other sound in this track ......you bring back that same tribal kick ...but this time for some reason its much more like a heartbeat.......and i feel like im struggling to escape from some machine shop from hell...oooh i can hear typing now ...that must be the receptionist....shes very rythmic...ahaha.....interesting track man......movie soundtrack potential you emote a lot of visual imagery with sound......but its not particularily to my liking ...i go for more melodic stuff i suppose ...still a cool piece

13/10/06 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): cool aural experience, aggressive, but kinda grooving with the sample manglage. interesting concept here. the oh high hats sweeps were a little too much for me all the way through, but that is my ears.

13/10/06 - Scott Case (unknown): Death of a Croydon Librarian is one of the best tracks I have heard yet from you fudge, the atmosphere and dark sounds keep you listening and really flow well throughout the track. Every sound fit and was displayed within the production quality. My only constructive thought is that "DoaCL" might be just a little long (I think around 8 minutes would be a good time for a track of this nature), but this is not a big deal when the song sounds this good. Excellent piece of work fudge.

13/10/06 - Mike Newstead (www.layersofsound.com): Man that is dark. To be honest I do struggle to get my head around your stuff these days. It sounds like something that would go well as a back drop to some dark alien/doom style playstation game. More like a soundscape than a track to me. You tell me, is it the kind of thing you can sit down and listen to in isolation? Man, are you are obsessed with Croydon Library. What is it about that place? I can only picture this music being appropriate late at night when the library is closed and all the lights are turned off, and strange creatures come out to play/hunt, and the librarian is going about his business tidying up. Things do pick up about 5 mins in. Bit of a long wait for me, but even then it doesn’t really get going. I thought you might pick up the pace and get some beats going. Wow, well that was an experience

13/10/06 - pitcherthis (www.mrsite.co.uk): Being a bit of a metal head I didn't think I'd like this, but I had a smoke last night, gave it a go & found myself getting quite into it. I'm probably a bit old to really appreciate this kind of stuff, but the beginning vaguely reminded me of some Death in Vegas stuff I have lurking somewhere in my collection- so it must be good! And I see what you mean about the FX sounding like swords. Neat. It's clear from your site and stuff that you enjoy what you do, so keep doing it, mate.

12/10/06 - Laguna Rising (www.the-auditoriums.net): Hi Fudge This is a long, interesting track I like the way it keeps going on and on Very experimental with ambient noises but enjoyable Well done

11/10/06 - one (www.the-auditoriums.net): Your best piece yet! Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love It!! the beat! the weird noises! the drama and I love the stero panning with that guitar sound! AWESOME!!! The girl friend really digs it. says it would be cool to hear on a long drive at night.

10/10/06 - Mr Fish (www.artificialbliss.com): took a listen to the death of a croydon librarian. can't really say that pure ambience is my thing but It's very well done. I think it would fit into a thriller/suspense/horror film pretty well. THe guitars kinda gives it the grit to keep it going.

Comments on "No Future"

13/11/06 - magmavander (www.the-auditoriums.net) - a "grand" trip here. I like this ambient/experimental piece. It's something difficult to find the sounds that will works together but it's so important to create a real atmosphere. You did that task very well. Of course we can all imagine something more to add. I guess there is one hundred millions possibilities

13/11/06 - nation2 (fsor.postunder.net) - this lets you slip away into your imagination and see all sorts of wierd and scary things, cool!!!! good dark ambience

10/11/06 - one (www.the-auditoriums.net) - Hi Fudge 12 minutes eh!! I'm digging the sound scape. I've no real suggestions as I don't reallyy do stuff like this. It sounds good to me as is perhaps a tad spartan maybe you could add a few more layers in spots.

09/11/06 - 2ndMOUSE (fsor.postunder.net) - great sounds Fudge , but i must admit , im not the best judge of soundscapes cos i find myself waiting for a beat to tap my feet to , or a hook that lodges itself in my mind. Its disturbing , and would be perfect for a really tense pyscho thriller like silence of the lambs or somethin in that vein. very unnerving , and not what i'd normally listen to , but as a mood set-piece , i can understand it.

09/11/06 - mrd (fsor.postunder.net) - ahhhhrg. the futures slipping away :S and im stuck in the sewers of the matrix mainframe or something. : lol ack what a trip man. Nice work..

07/11/06 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): i like the dubbyness in the opening sequences. really weird vibe that you are setting off, this seems to be a soundtracky atmosphere track, i had to re wire myself to fully accept the aural experience, for it being a soundtrack atmosphere horror type thing, i can dig it.

Comments on "The Fridge"

04/12/06 - total emptiness (fsor.postunder.net) - interesting intro. those industrial experimental sounds. maybe add something to it lol.

01/12/06 - sickmoth (fsor.postunder.net) - this 'fridge music' is certainly unique. I'm not entirely convinced that it stands up on its own, but as the backing to something else, it could be lovely. I used to record silence, reverse it and chuck some light phase on it all, then build a tune on top. Worked wonders.

01/12/06 - M.T.Pilot (fsor.postunder.net) - Hi fudge, how's it going? listening to your weird fridge now... *well, what can I say...did you leave the door of the fridge open or somehthing? *Don't know how to comment on this, I like the idea though regards, M.T.Pilot

28/11/06 - nation2 (fsor.postunder.net) - very sci fi!! made me smile, could hear it in a film soundtrack, cool!!

26/11/06 - magmavander (www.the-auditoriums.net) - Hi Fudge, careful, this is not a fridge, this is a spy machine sent by the alien to prepare earth invasion... Makes me think about of the IRCAM's piece I used to listen in my experimental period. Mysterious and... freezing!! thanks! Bye mag

24/11/06 - mrd (fsor.postunder.net) - hahaha way cool. doesnt sound so much like a fridge now heh - interesting stuff. good ambience!

24/11/06 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net) - lol.cool.!

24/11/06 - :10: (www.the-auditoriums.net) - reason...pfft...who works with that piece of crap of a software anymore....lol ok..Im joking...never used it...but seems like everyone else does around here. I think your fridge is about to die! might want to check the warranty on it. i would hate to see you lose your meat due to a faulty fridge... I prefer the end section, don't know why...just like the way it sounds

23/11/06 – Whisper (www.the-auditoriums.net) - Hey Man, what Kind of Fridge is this? Aren't you scared of it? There was a Moment that I thought it would talk!

Comments on "Sixty-Six-06"

21/12/06 - asbestoscape (www.the-auditoriums.net) - I didn't like it at first, the beats sounded a bit too 80s for me. Then it went all zombie-apocalypse on me and I was loving it. That break with all the reversed samples is great. This track evolves, with new parts and ideas always coming in, and I really like that- keeps it interesting.

17/12/06 - magmavander (www.the-auditoriums.net) - Hi, very dramatic, this could be used in a game or a movie. It has an apealing atmosphere. I enjoyed listening Thanks! bye mag

16/12/06 - one (www.the-auditoriums.net) - hi Fudge Puncy with the usual Fudge drama. A real good track from you...Enjoyed!

16/12/06 - Alienz (www.the-auditoriums.net) - Thats pretty bizar Ed, you doing your 666th post for a song called Sixty-six-06!? Anyway back to the song. At first I thought 'this is not my cup of tea at all' but after listening a few times this really does have a haunting quality! Crispy clear production!

15/12/06 - Ed (www.the-auditoriums.net) - had to do another run through, noway could I leave my post count at 666, its still cool.

15/12/06 - Ed (www.the-auditoriums.net) - hey fudge, how you doin this starts right in your face, no beats around the bush here, like the way you add spiking sounds as part of the percussions, the background pads create a real drama, nice change at 4:00, could have carried on a bit there, your still the break king...

Comments on "Krusher"

05/02/07 - Marco Rossi (www.artificialbliss.com): This is a wee beastie aint it hehe. Im not a regular to this genre of music but its always a bit of a refreshin change. its sounds good on the production side. Some cool sounds and fx in there. I like the beats u make. they kinds feel like theyre stumbling along. The beat sections sre my favourite . im a man who needs rhythm.

02/02/07 - sonus (www.artificialbliss.com): Listening to "Krusher" now ... I was not expecting that type of beat to drop. Well, I kind of did, since I'm familiar with some of your music, but the vibe in the intro to me made my brain imagine a slightly more chilled out break. Not that this is a bad thing! The drums come in and are nice, solid, and powerful. My favorite parts of the track were those that featured the drums. The extended break in the middle felt a little long to me ... I wasn't really drawn into the various sounds, fx, glitchiness and such. But then again, as I've stated above, I'm not really a fan of this style anyway. Some sounds did catch my ear however ... The one at 5:42 and 5:45 and 5:55 ... it sounds like a guitar or keyboard chord or something. That I liked. I also liked the raindrop style percussive sounds that come after that. Overall, from what I can judge, It's a solid track of its style. Unfortunately, I'm the wrong person to make any judgements! Hopefully my comments were at least a little revealing.

24/01/07 - dp (www.artificialbliss.com): agh dude how long.. ? seriously 12.9mb of mp3 this is an epic tune man. as for the "straight out of the box synths" [see comment by purefunk] well...I don't really stop to notice that. Sweet minamlist intro dude with some great atmospherics. Almost Aphex-esq. Great drums from the 10 mins in and the panning work really gives it something. IDM at it's best dude. Great work

11/01/07 - flos (www.the-auditoriums.net): strong production, you worked hard on this, every detail is perfect, the beat rocks but I'd prefer something less banging; why not to add some synth bass (I think that some clean 303ish sound would be great)... btw the fx are great. Excellent work

11/01/07 - one (www.the-auditoriums.net): Like the sax.. I'm listening at work but this sounds like it would be cool on the headphones. 2:30 Whoa!! Nice Beatz! Great variety in this tune Fudge. I'm diggin it!

11/01/07 - total emptiness (fsor.postunder.net): nice gutter sounds there. cool site ya have. interesting drumprogramming; certainly experimental. nice one.

10/01/07 - EvilGenius (www.nervejam.com): This is loooooong, but it varies a lot and flows nicely so it's easy to listen to the whole thing, which is no small feat considering it's 14 minutes. Very impressive beat programming. Only complaint is the excessive use of Reason preset kits. I wish I could erase them from my memory cos it kind of spoils a song when I hear something I recognise (the Beastie Boys last album had Reason kits all over it). You'd benefit enormously from getting some sample CDs with some more hits on.

08/01/07 - Purefunk (www.artificialbliss.com): Probably my favorite track you've done. Noisey and cool. Some of the synths are a bit 'straight out the box', but other than that , good stuff.

08/01/07 - Signal:Noise (fsor.postunder.net): wow, that's pretty epic, very engaging though, love the way it flows.

07/01/07 - Kwijy (fsor.postunder.net): Hey great soundtrack/atmosphere sections, all the way to the nice loose beats in the middle. ha - listening to some very trippy part now. great panning and some cool reverbs, fantastic sense of space.. shame i can't find my headphones very nice work mate.

06/01/07 - Fred S (www.the-auditoriums.net): A little different, Fudge? As magma says...full of electronic blips! Like the drums a lot, and some of the sounds used are very cool, as well as some interesting fx. A rather full and enjoyable listening experience.

06/01/07 - magmavander (www.the-auditoriums.net): Oh what a cool pad, and the kind of sax with a lot of Fx is awesome. It sounds very Miles Davis, in an abstract way. Miles under acid Even the drums get that latest Miles works sound... But with a Fudge touch. I dig a lot when you go in these "jazzy" mood. After it becomes more and more abstract. Full of electronic blips. I enjoyed!

05/01/07 - sickmoth (fsor.postunder.net): Hey Fudgeypants...This is indeed a quirky little number, and trippy to boot. Very reminiscent of Lifeforms era FSOL. Just right in every respect. In fact I've had it on loop now for about 30 minutes and haven't tired of it yet or noticed any repetition. Stand-out stuff. Cool.

03/01/07 - otosan (www.artificialbliss.com): Warm and atmouspheric in the very long intro, good effects used esp. on that filtered sax ( ? ). Very minimal, and listenable. Nice selection of sounds in there. Beat is wickedly random and glitchy. Nice 8-bit fire effects, took me right back to my c64 days. A thoughtful and well executed peice. Thanks for the listen!

02/01/07 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): trippy sounds, i love that flute type sound. this is fantastic for a soundtrack. , cool werbled nasty beat. nice little piece to take you somewhere else. niceness man.

Comments on "ADarkerPlace" (track & album)

12/03/07 - Mike Newstead (via e-mail): I prefer ‘A Darker Place’ [to Krunk]. It has a bit of Rhythm & Funk. Liking the double bass, and syncopated breaks.

12/03/07 - otosan (www.artificialbliss.com/forum): VERY dark, (cheers for the CD!) even frightening. Very intricate programming in there too. Nice work. Will pass more comments once i have listened to the lot.

12/03/07 - skept (www.artificialbliss.com/forum): dude, the darkness in these is disturbing... albiet - in a cool as fuck way. one thing that would life this shit to the next level.... what the fuck is going on in your head? - with me it come from life experiences past/present and future... nice work.

02/03/07 - mrd (fsor.postunder.net): yeah lovely sound montage... quite minimal.. like the heartbeat, works well but theres not much going on in the first 6 minutes otherwise that catches my interest a great deal.. but at 6 minutes theres this lovely messed up 'future sounds of jazz' type deal going on, I'm liking that a lot. The change at about 9 minutes onwards is interesting too but doesnt sit as sweetly as the middle section imo. Doing well though man - a tiny bit slow for my mood right now but well structured and mixed, an enjoyable listen.

24/02/07 - Tripm_C! (fsor.postunder.net): Not easy in the first listen, but in the second.... i would put it on my SC-Station !! Available? Feels like DOOM3 or SILENT HILL4-background sound.

23/02/07 - Sickmoth (fsor.postunder.net): Just downloaded your mini album/EP thingy. I remember Fridge well. Very catchy tune. Will listen to it in a while. Just got to do some housework. Would you like to record me cleaning the microwave? Oh dear.

22/02/07 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): pretty cool atmospheres, nice and excellent soundscapes. nice listen to get freaked out too as well.

22/02/07 - Mark Thornton (via e-mail): Listen cheers very much for your CD it was a pleasant surprise, thank you very much. Or maybe it's not so pleasant, there's truly some bad, bad shit on there! The Fridge is utter class, ok slightly disturbing... it must have freaked you out to be churning like that. And I totally love Krusher, screwed up beats of the highest common denominator. Maximum respect to you for this comp buddy!

15/02/07 - magmavander (www.the-auditoriums.net): Yeah! Cool and excellent!! Very coherent album, each tune is a different universe but the "touch" is the same. I agree with blipp, Dark Funk and Crusher are at the top. Fantastic songs. Bravo and thanks to share

15/02/07 - blipp (www.the-auditoriums.net): Just listened to the samplr album and WOW, that's one heavy and intense listen. The whole album flows really well and it does feel like a journey into the darkness. It brought to mind SPK and some of Laibach's earlier work, which i like. The production sounds really excellent even at this 64kbs/s. I loved the way you used the soundstage and i bet this would sound pretty amazing in headphones. Dark funk and Krusher are probably the stand-out tracks for me, but they are all of a high standard. Very good work indeed.

15/02/07 - ecamburn (www.the-auditoriums.net): I'm listening to the album sampler now. The album title is very apropos. I feel like I'm on an alien landscape. Interesting how about 2:00 some of the background ambience fades away. The reverb sounds like a more intimate space now. In a sense it feels like I've moved indoors. There's still a lot of stuff swirling round my head though. Nice use of reversed samples. I'd be curious to know how much of your audio processing you do inside of Acid. Or do you use an external audio editor? Also, some hints about what kind of audio editing you do inside Acid (if any) would be interesting to hear too. Somewhere around 5:00 the vibe seems to have switched up again. Now there are a lot of heavily reverbed echoes. Sort of feels like I'm in a cave. I remember listening to the piece with the upright bass and heavy drums that comes in around 6:00. It sounds very familiar. That is a crazy combination of sounds, but having a rythym really is a nice contrast to all of the ambient soundscape stuff. Fudge, this sounds like a really wideranging album. It has the feeling of going on a journey or a trip. A lot of ambient music starts to sound the same to me after awhile but your pieces kept changing up and they were all so different from each other that I didn't lose interest at all. The sounds you use are very evocative (as you can probably tell by what I write above). I really enjoyed listening. Congrats on getting the album out.

Comments on "Krunk"

13/05/07 - Mark Thornton (via e-mail): definately krunky... mish-mashy downbeat lo-fi madness. Straight from heaven.

12/03/07 - Mike Newstead (via e-mail): Just listening to Krunk now. Dark, very dark. You ever thought of going into making music for computer games. Liking the phone effect. Thought it was my mobile messin with the speakers. As usual, difficult for me to digest.

07/03/07 - Kwijy (fsor.postunder.net): had to put my headphones on for this wun! totally weird, but awesome audio crafting. the track is done in a way that it flows perfectly with all the stabs you've got going on. the high pitched tones you've got holding from about halfway are really building and holding the suspense. coolness! you always got tracks that keep me in an almost shivering state hehe. nice wun.

05/03/07 - Signal:Noise (fsor.postunder.net): That was pretty dark, with a very hypnotic vibe. Really came to life for me in the last few minutes when the regular beat and hint of a melody came in. Has a definite feeling of some scorched, post apocolyptic city where bad things lurk in the shadows.

05/03/07 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): hey man, krunk is a hip hop style: wow, left field...ur fucking with my head, ya freak!!!!this is awesome sonic manipulation..... very nice originality...

05/03/07 - Sickmoth (fsor.postunder.net): More experimental madness from the Fudge. Some FSORians would complain about some of the sounds being a little harsh on the ears, but not I: love all this mentalism . Gentle bass underscores the progression, and this is rather a clever exercise in using a very wide range of sounds effectively. Certainly does evoke visions of krunk. Mobile phone interference? Now that's just genius. Works a treat . Ah, now we have some semblance of structure appearing with a steady kick drum, and against the odds there's a melody being carved out of industrial stabs and grinds. Special... and then it just fades away. Really obscure track that, Fudgeypants. Nice work.

04/03/07 - magmavander (www.the-auditoriums.net): WOW very impressive song. It sounds like a kind of futuristic/experimental/glitchy/new wave/hip hop song. You mix different genres like a master, I'm amazed. A great listening experience!!

04/03/07 - blipp (www.the-auditoriums.net): WOW Fudge, this is amazing. Can't really fault it at all and loved every second of it. You have a real talent for this glitchy stuff so more like this one please.

03/03/07 - Laguna Rising (www.the-auditoriums.net): After the 'blippy-bloppy' intro the percs hits get together in broken-beat glitchy rhythm: Nervous. Synth sounds and voices takes over. Mobile phone interferences and other weird sounds: definitely glitchy. A short rhytmic reprise turns into the final fading sounds. This is another fresh example of your style, I enjoyed it. Nice

Comments on "Komputer Forces"

13/05/07 - Mark Thornton (via e-mail): wicked old skool technoey 'puter game freakishness... was that the general intention?!

07/04/07 - otosan (www.artificialbliss.com): Spooky techno with some lovely noises. Very complex. Lead sound is a little peircing, other than this is a top tune for sure. Cheers for posting!

23/03/07 - spinVector (fsor.postunder.net): This is really off the wall Interesting mix of retro drum sounds with unique patterns, and high frequency melodies. For me the annoyance level is a bit too high on my first listen but it's already growing on me with it's strange atmosphere and weird stomping groove. Definately didn't come out as psy! Would say more of an acid house experience good stuff.

21/03/07 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): Holy shat! this is sonic tom foolery...i like the the little sound efx stabs, i like the string stab? the bassline is super grooving, i love the sound manipulation. its like a sid machine being hijacked by a crazed atari 2600 and a blindfolded Richie Hawtin. this was a really interesting listen for me personally.

Comments on "Drips, kntr & kIoW"

13/05/07 - Mark Thornton (via e-mail): kntr: Ouch.. quick-fire glitchmania! The real McCoy. kIoW: Phat, meaty n gorgeously punchy.

28/04/07 - Kwijy (fsor.postunder.net): Kntr - cool... kinda glitchy and gamey.. very sparse/metalic/dark cool feel. very atmospheric man - a real acid spinout, fucking scarey at night with the lights turned off. would go well as a set of shorter tracks, however, a little too short by itself to really hold a mood. kIow - some cool panning in this one. kinda sneaky feeling. again, really atmospheric and dark. not really something i'd listen to on a day to day basis, but a cool vibe.

19/04/07 - Gavin (www.nervejam.com): I really like the first two. Very Aphex twin sounding.Which is unlike your previous stuff,a bit more tuneful than normal. Keep it up.

18/04/07 - timothyp (fsor.postunder.net): they are short and sweet, i could really see this being used in certain parts of a video game, you should try to get in that field. keep making that stuff, i wanna hear more.

Comments on "fudgedubnofunk (the track)"

02/12/07 - otosan (www.artificialbliss.com): Quite an industrial sounding track, loads of sounds in there. Liking those hefty cross rhythms and 8-bit breaks. Very rich tune, able to carry off the long length. A nice listen.

23/11/07 - Humanite (fsor.postunder.net): at first i really didnt enjoy your stuff dub......but i admit its a slow cooking stew your style has grown on my aural tastebuds quite a bit

21/11/07 - Lord Wallace (www.artificialbliss.com): Certainly woke me up.

21/11/07 - t1mp (fsor.postunder.net): ya i think i already told i really dug it!

21/11/07 - MadRienell (fsor.postunder.net): Wow. What they all said. Very impressed. Enjoyed that immensely.

21/11/07 - Signal:Noise (fsor.postunder.net): I love your use of the stereo field fudge, you really are a genius at dark warped electronic. This reminds me a lot of The Liar's Rosebush, which is a very good thing indeed.

19/11/07 - OctaFuzZ Audio Works (fsor.postunder.net): this one has got my head going. never stop making music plzz. i mean it i love this style, your minimal way of using sound and the beats those 1 beat misses. nice atmosphere

11/11/07 - Daniel Cook aka downfader (by e-mail): Glad to see your still making cool music!!! Your latest (eponymous) track has a quality nodding towards the great Joy Division, Aphex Twin and Orbital. This I LOVE!!!

07/11/07 - NerveJam (www.nervejam.com): Like the choon, BTW.. Rah!

11/10/07 - nation2 (fsor.postunder.net): great track by the way!!!

Comments on "Culture Vulture Clash Trash"

11/02/08 - paddy (www.nervejam.com): Well, I like it. You could lengthen it with a huge crazy synthetic African drum section in the middle

10/02/08 - downfader (www.nervejam.com): Couple of nasty pops in there when I downloaded. Other than that theres some cool stuff going on, very early 90s pad.

05/02/08 - skept (www.artificialbliss.com): nice track... love the ravey stabs.... this track would fit into the grime/dubstep scene very nicely. 2002 eh? - looks like you pre-dated dubstep.... forward thinking stuff for the time

05/02/08 - Signal:Noise (fsor.postunder.net): This is almost on a commercial vibe Fudge, but still very apparently you.

05/02/08 - Marco Rossi (www.artificialbliss.com): thats phat man, really liked it. short but sweet just like my love length (only kiddin ladies, its fookin massive).

Comments on "Digital Bleurgh"

13/03/08 - skept (www.artificialbliss.com): nice man... free-flowing-minimal-superdark with a side order of glitch'n'chin.

13/03/08 - hectic (fsor.postunder.net): I like the track. Everything sounds really tight and well produced. I dig the glitchy feel!

12/03/08 - sourone (fsor.postunder.net): sounds cool ...i can hear pretty much little things background...i'm not entusiast of using delays on percusion layer...but it seems that here fits nicely ;] second part is more IDMish...and i love it...it's more dynamic and in my taste... nice

08/03/08 - electric samon (www.soundclick.com): into digital bleurgh right now and I like what I'm hearing... kinda has an autechre vibe with that beat, pretty cool. I've been listening to a lot of spacetime continuum lately and this is also reminding me of his unorthodox beats. I like the subtle build up when the drums drop out around 5 minutes. Some really cool panning and production. Actually I like this latter part of the track even more, groovy beat and interplay with the synths. Solid track m8

07/03/08 - blipp (www.soundclick.com): I've learnt to expect the unexpected from your tracks and these are no exeption. As Mouse says, lot of imagination in these. Digital bleurgh reminds me of early "Black Dog" so i liked it a lot. You never know where it's gonna go next, which is a big plus. The mix is jam packed at times, but everything comes through crystal clear. Great track, enjoyed a lot.

07/03/08 - IannaI (www.soundclick.com): You're definitely diggin' those old sounds. I thought I was playing Atari there for a second. There are some great sound effects about 1/2 way through that are fun. I thought it might go all DnB there at the end. Or at least "breakin".

07/03/08 - BigT SM-T (www.soundclick.com): Checkin Digital Bleurgh now, can tell its well thought out and lots of little things happening for the variation, interesting change from 5:40-ish onwards, Imma reckon's Absorb Fish will like this. Great control of all the 'dubby' sounds and drums, just as your name suggest's, you like your dub, eh? I gotta be honest and say I'm not into the whole 'game noise blips' thing, I think it sounds stupid personally, but it is used well. Mix sounds great, nice and clear, I think you's know's what's you's doing.

06/03/08 - 2nd Mouse (www.soundclick.com): This great man --- plenty imaginaminationz......loadz goin on , and although pattern-based , its unpredictable. I really like this track man...oh yeah...it would help if i told you which one it is......its digital bleurgh . heheh...its royally effed up just when you think its over , it comes back in a different incarnation. Lotta work gone into this . Love the rhythm with the squeaks at 6:50. Great stuff and plenty RAHspekt from me buddy !!!
